What it does:

This script analyses your product performance within Google Ads and prioritises them according to their total revenue contribution and average ROI vs. all other items in the account, across multiple date ranges.

It then labels them (via a custom label of your choice) with a tier (from 0 to 10):

  • Tier 0: Products that don’t yet have enough data to be categorised (also known as Zombie SKUs).
  • Tier 1: High revenue and high ROI products.
  • Tier 10: Low revenue and low ROI products.

The script will then automatically move items across campaigns based on their tiers (or value to the business) on a daily basis.

Additionally, the script will suggest creating 10 new PMax or Shopping campaigns for these items, along with ideal campaign bids and budgets based on current and historic performance.

Once set up and running, this script ensures optimal Google Ads spend allocation.

How it does it:

This script analyses historic data from within the Google Ads account and uses regression analysis, weighted average formulas, and machine learning to categorise and tier items based on their overall value to the business and potential incremental value (by controlling their spend more accurately).

Main Uses:

  • Ensures that budget is correctly allocated across campaigns and items based on their individual performance and value to the business.
  • Increases spend on top-performing items while reducing spend on poorer performers.
  • Maximises revenue and ROI while minimising wastage and inefficient ad spend.

Why you should use it:

Google’s algorithm often prioritises items that are more likely to receive clicks rather than the ones that are most valuable to your business.

This can result in top-performing items not getting the exposure they deserve, while poorer-performing items consume the budget.

This script moves items into campaigns based on their revenue and ROI, ensuring top-performing items receive uncapped spend while limiting spend on underperformers.

When does it run?

Daily at 6 AM based on your account’s local time, ensuring the report is ready when you start work.
